Member of the Allergy Advisory Council

spotlight image of Allergy Awesomeness announcing she is a board member of Certified Free From Foods' Allergy Advisory Board

I’m excited to share with you that I’ve joined the Allergy Advisory Council for Certified Free From Foods. I believe in their mission to bring third party testing to companys’ claims so that as a consumer we can truly tell what is safe for us to eat and what is not.

As part of our first advisory meeting, we met in Chicago. The first day was spent going to the CFAAR (Center for Food Allergy & Asthma Research) conference at the beautiful Northwestern Conference. It was great to listen to leaders in the field like: No Nut Traveler and Dr Ruchi Gupta, MD, MPH. You can see this picture with me and Betsy Craig, the owner of Certified Free From and MenuTrinfo, as well as the rest of the group from our first meeting.

I love Chicago and always look forward to visiting that beautiful city.

I’m excited to learn from the other amazing council members.

I’ll be in Chicago again when I present for the second year in a row at the FAACT (Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Connection Team) Allergy Summit. Hope to see some of you there. Getting to meet people, learn from doctors and other people pioneering in this field is always exciting and keeps my skills sharp.

I’ve sat on a non-profit board, UFAN, before and absolutely loved the associations and experiences I had there, and know this will be the same.

I feel very blessed to have had these opportunities.
